A bill currently before the lower house is aimed at cleaning up the country’s image as a tax haven.
It’s one of the purposes of the International Banking Bill 2016, which was brought before Parliament on Tuesday.
Mover of the bill, Prime Minister Gaston Browne, says the bill also seeks to strengthen the regulatory framework to prevent excesses of the past from re-occurring.
