An Audit Underway At The National Office Of Disaster Services

The National Office of Disaster Services has been the subject of an ongoing audit.

The arrest of two employees brought a greater level of scrutiny to its operations recently and Information Minister, the Hon. Melford Nicholas revealed that the audit was requested prior to the discovery that items were being stolen from the facility.

Certified Accountant, Sandra Baptiste has already begun preparing the audit.

He says while the alleged actions of the two employees is unfortunate, the government has been completely open in its response to the matter.
