ASSISTIVE TECHNOLOGY DEVICE DONATION TO T.N. KIRNON

The T. N. Kirnon Unit for the Blind and Visually Impaired was the recipient of 30-thousand-dollars’ worth of assistive technology devices for primary and secondary school students.
The donation was spearheaded by Business Development Manager ACT, Andrew Doumith, in conjunction with the New England Low Vision and Blindness Center and the Carroll Centre for the Blind.
The gift is dear to Doumith’s heart, who is visually impaired.

He explains how the devices will assist the students.

ACT’s three areas of focus are education, professional development and authentic inclusion.
Doumith knows all too well the transformative power of the devices having participated in February in a 14 week Independent Living and Technology Training Programme in Boston.
