Bahamas government insists no Ebola death in the country

NASSAU, Bahamas, Sept 22, CMC – The Bahamas government Monday sought to re-assure nationals that a foreign national who died here last week was not suffering from the Ebola virus that has killed thousands of people in Africa.

Health Minister Perry Gomez in a second statement within a week, said it is “regrettable” following the death of the man last week, “irresponsible rumours were circulated in the social media stating that the cause of his death was due to the Ebola Virus, which is false.
