BARBUDA COUNCIL MEMBER EXPRESSES THANKS FOR ASSISTANCE

Barbuda Council member Mackeisha Desuza is expressing appreciation to the central government on the mainland for its support in helping the sister island respond in the wake of COVID-19.
Desuzua, who is affiliated with the minority Antigua Barbuda Labour Party on the Council, says the Ministry of Health has been sending necessary supplies and communicating constantly with the Council’s Health Department. Along with Health Minister the Hon. Molwyn Joseph, Desuza singled out Minister for Social Transformation the Hon. Samantha Marshall for special praise for her role in the Emergency Food Assistance Programme.

She says residents have been adhering to the measures put in place by the government to ensure there is no escalation in the spread of the virus in Antigua and Barbuda.
