GOVERNMENT INTENSIFIES MEASURES TO PROTECT BORDERS

More efforts have been put in place to improve border control amidst the COVID-19 pandemic.

The Government of Antigua and Barbuda has announced that all private and commercial flights entering the V.C. Bird International Airport will utilize one entry processing point. Private jets that usually land at Runway 10 are now required to present at V.C. Bird International for screening and clearance.

Meanwhile, all sea vessels, including pleasure craft, will be processed at the Nevis Street Pier. The government says clearance will be facilitated at this pier between the hours of 8:00 am to 5:00 pm.

Antigua and Barbuda so far has one confirmed case of COVID-19. The Health Ministry says the patient is recovering well and remains in isolation.
