Independence Theme Announced

The twin island nation will be celebrating its 32nd Anniversary of Independence under the theme “Antigua and Barbuda One Family: Celebrating with Pride, Vision and Integrity”.

Independence Committee Spokesman and Communications Officer in the Ministry of Culture, Craig Tuckett shares the rationale behind the theme.

Tuckett says the committee, being led by Culture Minister, Eleston Adams, hopes to make the 2013 celebrations an exciting and eventful one.

Apart from the staple activities, this year will feature an Independence Fete and the Golden Memories Program for the elders.

The Homecoming Queen Show also returns this year.

Independence 2013 is set to launch on 19 September.
