Minister Adams on Carnival

The Minister of Culture with responsibility for the greatest summer festival – Antigua Carnival, says he is pleased with the festival thus far.

 The Hon. Eleston Adams says from the opening of Carnival on Saturday he was pleased with the level of participation especially in the T-Shirt mas and the performances from various participants of the shows.

He believes the country has potential to be a leader in carnival celebrations.

High quality talent is what the Minister expected in a show like the Queen of Carnival, but says he was left disappointed with the lack of creativity especially seen in the costume segment.

As for the Teen Splash competition, Minister Adams expressed overwhelming joy in seeing the level of talent showcased on what he says was a well planned show.
