New UPP Candidates seeking to strenghten Party’s Position.

Two of the newest candidates of the ruling United Progressive Party (UPP) administration are seeking to strengthen the party’s position.

Senator Mervin Richards, who is competing for the St John’s City South seat says that his sporting background has prepared him for the political arena.

He says once elected, the youth, the elderly, sports and single parent homes will be his focus.

Meantime, Senator Shawn Nicholas, says that her main focus is on Education, and the development of technical vocational skills as well as sports and culture in St Philip North.

She also remains concerned with the need for infrastructural development in the area.
