NO DECISION YET ON THE FATE OF RBC WORKERS

No decision has yet been made about the fate of workers at the Royal Bank of Canada branches that are being sold in the Eastern Caribbean.
Antigua Commercial Bank is part of a group of five indigenous banks that have come together to purchase the RBC banks in this respective territories.
Bank of Montserrat is one of them. At a media briefing Friday Bank of Montserrat’s Chairman, Dalton Lee says the group cannot make any decision about the staff since they have not met the workers.

He says once the acquisition is final the respective banks with make individual decisions on staffing.

Besides Bank of Montserrat and ACB, the other banks are National Bank of Dominica Limited, Bank of Nevis Limited and 1st National Bank and St. Lucia Limited.
