PM Spencer stresses the importance of tertiary education

An educated population is vital in today’s world.

The words of Prime Minister Dr. the hon. Baldwin Spencer while addressing the 2013 Chinese Scholarship recipients.

The nation’s leader who holds an honorary doctorate from his Alma mater, the Coady International Institute, St Francis Xavier University in Nova Scotia, Canada said his goal is the improve the country’s human resources complement.

Spencer added that tertiary education is a critical component of human development.

Hundreds of students are enrolled in universities in the US, Cuba, The People’s Republic of China, Turkey, Australia, New Zealand and several other countries under the Prime Minister’s Scholarship Programme
