PM’s Mother’s Day Address

St. John’s, Antigua – Prime Minister Dr. the Hon Baldwin Spencer presents a national address on Sunday focusing on what he calls the most precious individuals – Mothers.

He commends women who are left to father their children adding that his government commends mothers who hold single parent families together despite the challenges.

Prime Minister Spencer also addressed the issue of human rights and points to his administration’s efforts to step up severance to eradicate all forms of violence against women.

In his Mother’s Day, He says he and his wife, Jackie Spencer, condemns the horror over the abduction on 14 April of more than 200 girls from their school in Nigeria

Prime Minister Spencer also calls on citizens to join efforts to respects the rights of women and urges fathers to play their role in building strong families on Christian principles.
