Residents Rest Assured as Vehicles Safe from Manufactures Defect

In light of a recall on Wednesday, owners of Toyota automobiles in Antigua and Barbuda can rest assured that their vehicles are safe from manufacture defects.

This comes as Japanese based car manufacturer Toyota Motors announced the recall of over 6.5 million vehicles,one of the largest to date.

The local dealer has confirmed that the shipment of motor vehicles reaching the island’s shores is not affected.

The recall announced Wednesday affects some 27 Toyota models including the Corolla, Yaris, Hilux and RAV4 in the United States.

Toyota, one of the largest car manufactures in the world has over the years been plagued with a series of recalls due to defects.
