The Antigua and Barbuda Immigration Department is about to implement new border requirements as part of top security efforts at the VC Bird International Airport.

Speaking of the plans is Chief Immigration Officer, Ivor Walker, who says that while this is a futuristic strategy, it is critical to ensure that the country’s main port of entry operates in accordance with world standards.

The Gaston Browne administration is expected to open the new multimillion dollar airport terminal in June of this year.

The implementation of the pending security strategy is in line with latest immigration laws ratified by the government of Antigua and Barbuda.
