SEVERAL AIRLINES EXPRESS INTEREST TO REPLACE LIAT

Some six airlines have already come forward to take up routes that will be left abandoned if a plan to liquidate LIAT goes through.
That was revealed by outgoing CARICOM Chair, Prime Minister Mia Mottley of Barbados during a meeting of CARICOM heads of Government today.

And there was no mention of that proposal from Prime Minister Browne at today’s meeting.
Prime Minister Browne says he expects to receive a written reply from his three colleagues, Mia Mottley, Dr Ralph Gonsalves and Roosevelt Skerrit at the earliest opportunity.
