COVID POSITIVE INMATES TO BE MOVED TO NEW FACILITY

Preparations are underway at the Antigua Barbuda Defence Force Crabbes Peninsula Training Facility for the arrival of 33 inmates of Her Majesty’s Prison who previously tested positive for Covid-19.

Acting Prison Superintendent Jermaine Anthony says the facility will be completed Friday ahead of the prisoners’ arrival Friday afternoon.

Meanwhile, the Acting Prison Superintendent says investigations have been launched into the circumstances surrounding inmates’ being exposed to Covid-19. He reiterates health and safety protocols were being enforced.
