4 Year Old Girl Recovering In Hospital After Being Hit By A Vehicle On A Pedestrian Crossing

A 4 year old girl is now in stable condition in hospital after being hit by a vehicle.
The incident happened about 3:45 Thursday afternoon on the pedestrian cross-walk near to the Little Canton supermarket on Independence Drive.
The child, who is from Herberts, was reportedly dragged for several feet and sustained serious injuries to one of her legs.
The female diver of the blue Suzuki Vitara that was involved in the crash has been taken into police custody and is assisting with the investigation.
