ALL IN PLACE FOR CONSTRUCTION TO BEGIN ON NEW FIVE ISLANDS PRIMARY – EDUCATION MINISTER

The Government says all arrangements have now been finalized for construction to begin on a state-of-the-art Five Islands Primary School.

Education Minister Hon. Daryll Matthew made the announcement in Parliament’s Lower House on Thursday.

The construction of the new climate-resilient structure will pave the way for the lands now occupied by the school to be used for the expansion of the University of the West Indies Five Islands Campus.

The campus is set for a major expansion being bankrolled by a loan of US$80 million from the Saudi Fund for Development.
