WORK BEGINS ON MAJOR RUNWAY OVERHAUL AT VC BIRD INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT

The Antigua and Barbuda Airport Authority says the V.C. Bird International Airport is seeing the most comprehensive runway improvement project in its history.

Tourism and Civil Aviation Minister, Hon. Charles Fernandez, says the US$55-million project will ensure the facility remains in step with international standards.
