5% Increase for More Categories of Workers

The Cabinet of Antigua and Barbuda has approved a 5 percent increase in payments to pensioners, extending the Government’s ongoing efforts to provide financial relief and improve the standard of living for all citizens.

Cabinet has also agreed to broaden the scope of this increase right across the public service to include individuals participating in the Government’s Work Experience Programme and contract workers.

These decisions follow last week’s announcement of a 5 percent salary increase for public servants to be paid at the end of this month.
