A&B REAFFIRMS CALL FOR THE REGION TO REMAIN A ZONE OF PEACE

Foreign Affairs Minister Hon. E.P. Chet Greene says Antigua and Barbuda must navigate the current geopolitical environment with care, intelligence and a steady hand.

Minister Greene outlined the government’s foreign policy position during his contribution to the budget debate in Parliament’s Lower House Friday morning, noting the world is unsettled with intensifying conflicts.

He says Antigua and Barbuda is committed to the principle of the region as a zone of peace.

His comments come as countries in the hemisphere remain on tenterhooks over rising tensions between the United States and Venezuela, with the largest military build-up in the southern Caribbean in decades.
