A&B STUDENTS IN JAMAICA WELCOME EXTENSION OF HOTEL STAY AMIDST HURRICANE THREAT
Antiguan and Barbudan students in Jamaica say they are grateful for the support of the Gaston Browne administration, which has extended their stay at the Pegasus Hotel as Hurricane Melissa bears down on Jamaica.
The group of 53 students has been staying at the Pegasus since last Saturday, all at the expense of the Government of Antigua and Barbuda.
Their stay, originally for two days, has now been extended to this Thursday at midday, as the slow-moving category five hurricane churns just off Jamaica’s south coast.
President of the Antigua and Barbuda Students’ Association – Jamaica, Jewel Moore, says students are staying calm, thankful for the outpouring of support from back home.
