ABEC Chairman Pleased With Reports Of International Observers
Chairman of the Antigua & Barbuda Electoral Commission Juno Samuel is pleased with the glowing reports from the international observers of the 2014 general elections.
He says ABEC has wiped away the stain of the 2009 elections and set a new standard for the process.
Samuel, however, highlights an issue raised by the observer mission – the movement of boxes to be counted.
He explains that attempts were made in the past to have the counting done on the spot.
Samuel said counting at the polling stations at the close of voting would ensure earlier results and is hopeful that this would be implemented for the next general elections.
