ABST Christmas Treat

St.John’s , Antigua – Consumers across the country are in for a Christmas treat compliments of the government.

That’s because the government has instructed the Inland Revenue Department to reduce Antigua Barbuda Sales Tax on all goods and services for two days next week.

The announcement comes from Minister of State in the Ministry of Finance, Senator Lennox Weston.

Senator Weston says the records shows that the waiver, first implemented two years ago does not have a negative impact on government’s collections.

Many consumers have been inquiring about the tax break and thousands are expected to take advantage of the reduction on the two busiest shopping days of the year.
