Agriculture Ministry Receives New Heavy-Duty Equipment

Agriculture Minister Hon. Anthony Smith Jr says heavy-duty equipment has started to arrive in Antigua and Barbuda to support increased production in the sector.

The Minister has showed photographs on his Facebook page, noting, “This development is a major step in building out our heavy-duty equipment department, allowing us to better support our farmers across Antigua and Barbuda.”

He says the equipment will allow for the scaling up of critical work, such as land-clearing, building ponds and dams, land preparation and repairing farm roads.
