AGS PRINCIPAL ON SCHOOL REOPENING

Face- to- face learning for fourth and fifth formers is to return next Monday.
With COVID- 19 active cases still in the hundreds, some have expressed concern.
However, Antigua Grammar School Principal Sam Roberts says the school environment is now safer.

 

In February, the country started its COVID- 19 vaccine campaign with teachers being among prioritized groups.
Schools have closed prematurely and reopened as the country battles the COVID-19 pandemic forcing learning online.
Roberts says some students do well in a virtual environment.

But the educator says face- to- face instruction is ideal.

Primary schools will also reopen on Monday for fifth and six graders.
