AIR CANADA RESUMES FLIGHTS TO ANTIGUA

Air Canada arrived in Antigua today after a months-long hiatus.

 

Earlier this year, Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau announced the suspension of flights to some territories including Antigua and Barbuda.

 

The decision was taken to curb the spread of COVID- 19 and its variants.

 

However, Air Canada returned to the VC Bird International Airport this afternoon signaling a boost in airlift for the winter season.

 

The adults aboard the flight were required to have received at least one shot of a COVID- 19 vaccine as new travel regulations came into effect at the beginning of this month.
