All Systems Are Initiated For The Sweeping Of The St. John’s Harbour
The sweeping of the St John’s Harbour is set to begin Monday.
Representatives from Boskalis and Ansarmacal which will be carrying out the job are on island making preparations for this major undertaking.
Public Relations Officer for the Port Authority, Omari Harrigan says the operation will last about a month and a half.
He says a pre-dredge survey is to be carried out on Wednesday to gather information for the state-of-the art vessel which will be executing the sweeping.
Port Manager Darwin Telemaque says the work to be carried out will enhance the environment of the waters surrounding the port, which will make it easier for cruise vessels to dock.
