ANTIGUA AND BARBUDA CREATES A SPLASH AT CARIFTA AQUATICS CHAMPIONSHIP
Anya DeGannes is leading the charge for Antigua and Barbuda at the Carifta Aquatics Championships in The Bahamas.
DeGannes won gold medals in the 11-12 girls 200 Individual Medley and 200 Butterfly on Monday in 2 minutes, 40.20 seconds and 2 minutes, 41.09 respectively.
The 12-year-old now has 3 gold medals, following her winning performance in the 100 Butterfly on the opening day.
In addition to DeGannes, Madison MacMillan, Ellie Shaw, Stefano Mitchell and Alessandro Bazzoni all captured silver medals in their respective events, while Ethan Stubbs-Green claimed a bronze.
Antigua and Barbuda have so far accumulated 12 medals – 4 gold, 5 silver and 3 bronze.
