Antigua And Barbuda Is Getting More Money From Japan To Help The Fisheries Sector And Disaster Mitigation

Japan and Antigua and Barbuda signed agreements yesterday that will ensure that the fisheries sector and the area of disaster mitigation receive a substantial injection of capital.

The signing ceremony took place at the Royal Antiguan Hotel where members of the Antigua and Barbuda Labour Party were actually gathered for a retreat on the occasion of its first year in office.
While the two events were unrelated, the Parliamentary Vice Minister for Foreign Affairs Takashi Uto expressed his gratitude to Prime Minister Gaston Browne for pulling himself away from activities associated with the auspicious occasion to meet with him.
