ANTIGUA & BARBUDA MAINTAINS EXCELLENT CHILDHOOD IMMUNIZATION RATE
Paediatrician Dr. Edda Hadeed says Antigua and Barbuda has been able to maintain a high vaccination rate among children despite the COVID- 19 pandemic.
The World Health Organization, the CDC, and UNICEF had declared there was an alarming decline in the number of children receiving vaccines globally because of disruptions caused by the coronavirus.
However, Dr. Hadeed says this has not been the case in Antigua and Barbuda where children continue to receive immunization against diseases to include Polio, Hepatitis B, and Measles.
World Immunization Week is being celebrated between April 24 and 30 this year.
