ANTIGUA & BARBUDA TO BE PLACED ON UK GREEN LIST FOR TRAVEL
Antigua and Barbuda is days away from being added to the United Kingdom’s green list for international travel.
The UK’s Transport Secretary, Grant Shapps says Antigua and Barbuda and 15 other countries and territories will be added to the green list in the traffic light system for international travel from June 30.
People entering the UK from countries on the green list will not have to quarantine.
It is expected to provide a huge boost to the country’s tourism recovery and comes on the heels of the US Centres for Disease Control and Prevention placing Antigua and Barbuda in the lowest risk level one.
In addition to Antigua and Barbuda, the other countries and territories in the region which will be placed on the green list are Anguilla, Barbados, Bermuda, British Virgin Islands, Cayman Islands, Dominica, Grenada, Montserrat and Turks and Caicos Islands.
Meanwhile, the Dominican and Republic and Haiti are the two Caribbean countries which are among states to be placed on the red list.
