ANTIGUA & BARBUDA TOURISM NOT AFFECTED BY THOMAS COOK COLLAPSE
According to Tourism Minister Honourable Charles Fernandez the collapse of British travel firm Thomas Cook will *not*negatively affect the twin island nation’s tourism industry.
The collapse has left approximately six- hundred-thousand passengers stranded around the globe.
Minister Fernandez says there are no Thomas Cook passengers on island presently as there’s only one flight weekly during the winter.
He says Virgin Airlines is looking to see how they can assist in transporting those passengers to the Caribbean.
There’s more good news for the industry.
Minister Fernandez is confident there’ll be adequate airlift to replace any disruption from Thomas Cook.
