Antigua Distillery Takes Responsibility For Molasses Spill At Rat Island

The Antigua Distillery has accepted full responsibility for a molasses spill at its storage facilities at Rat Island over the weekend and says it is working to have the situation fully contained by this weekend.

The Distillery says this spill is the first of its kind in the Company’s 85-year history and it has taken quick action to contain it.

ABS has been tracking this story and today, our cameras were at the Distillery’s office during a visit by representatives of environmentalists and other stakeholders.
