ANTIGUAN SHOT DEAD IN NEW YORK

A 25 year old Antiguan was shot and killed in Brooklyn, New York Wednesday morning.

A family member in Antigua confirmed the victim as Kendell Richards Friday.

He had lived with his mother Charlene Friday in Brooklyn, while his father Wendell Richards resides in Pigotts Village.

Brooklyn detectives say the 25-year-old was gunned down in the area of Schenectady Avenue and St John’s place in Crown Heights at about 4:55am on Wednesday.

Officers from the 77th Precinct rushed to the location after receiving 911 calls and found the victim suffering from a gunshot wound to the head.

Paramedics rushed the victim to Kings County Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
