ANTIGUANS ENCOURAGED TO USE DCASH

Antiguans and Barbudans are being encouraged to take advantage of the pilot phase of Dcash, the digital version of the Eastern Caribbean Dollar.
Chair of Eastern Caribbean Central Bank’s FinTech Working Group Sharmyn Powell says it represents a faster and safer way to pay for goods and services.

After downloading the DCash App to your mobile phone, she says the process is very simple.

Powell says there are also benefits for merchants.

The pilot will run for the next 12 months. Financial institutions participating in the pilot phase in Antigua and Barbuda are Caribbean Union Bank, Eastern Caribbean Amalgamated Bank, and the St. John’s Cooperative Credit Union.
