APUA INSTALLS EQUIPMENT TO IMPROVE WATER PRODUCTION AT FORT JAMES RO PLANT
The Antigua Public Utilities Authority has installed an ultra-filtration unit at the Fort James Reverse Osmosis Plant, set to significantly improve the consistency of water production from the facility. The unit will ensure that the plant is able to continue producing potable water, even when there is a high concentration of sand and other particles from rough sea conditions.
The APUA’s Water Business Unit is set to commission the unit into service in the coming weeks. The utility says this is a major step in boosting the resilience of the plant’s operations, and expects this will make a significant difference for customers served by this facility.
