APUA REPORTS SHARP INCREASE IN WATER PRODUCTION FROM CRABBS PLANT; PROGRESS ON FORT JAMES CONSTRUCTION
The Antigua Public Utilities Authority says the Crabbs Reverse Osmosis plant is now producing 3.5 million gallons of potable water per day, significantly higher than a few months ago.
It says this is because of ongoing work to replace desalination membranes as well as returning another unit to operation.
The utility company says this daily amount is set to rise to 4.3 million gallons by the end of this month, as even more work is carried out.
Meanwhile, there has been another major step taken in the construction of the newest desalination plant at Fort James.
Water works 2.0 this week is immersed in developments at both locations.
