ARGENTINA BEAT BRAZIL TO WIN COPA AMERICA TITLE

Lionel Messi has won his first major international trophy as Argentina defeated Brazil 1-0 in the final of the Copa America in the iconic Maracana Stadium in Rio de Janeiro. It was also the first title in 28 years for the Albicelestes. The winning goal came from an Angel di Maria lob following a long pass from Rodrigo de Paul.

Messi, considered by many to be the greatest player of his generation, was named player of the tournament after his four goals.
