Barbuda Senator Encourages Youth To support Local Development

There’s a call for the young people on Barbuda to fully embrace the developmental plans proposed by the Local Government Council.

This call comes from one of two Barbuda members on the Senate, Sheneque Fortune, who says she plans to use her appointment to the Senate to lobby for developments for the sister island.

Senator Fortune also calls for a special fund to help young people in Barbuda launch their own businesses. She also wants more foreign direct investments to boost the economy, and she is supporting the idea of a golf course on the island.
