BE VACCINATED, SUBMIT TO TWICE A MONTH TESTING OR BE SENT HOME WITHOUT PAY

Get vaccinated, submit to twice-monthly Covid-19 testing or be sent home without pay.  That is the firm decision taken by Cabinet at its weekly meeting.

All unvaccinated government workers who are in contact with the cruise ports yet refuse to submit to the fortnightly Covid19 tests mandated by the government will be sent home without pay. This category of workers includes Emergency Medical Technicians, Immigration Officers, Port Health Workers, Nurses, Doctors, and members of the Armed Forces.

Information Minister Hon Melford Nicholas stresses the severity of these measures are necessary to safeguard the clinical and economic wellbeing of Antiguans and Barbudans.
