BENNA GIRLS CELEBRATE DOMINANT PERFORMANCE IN WOMEN’S FOOTBALL FESTIVAL
Antigua and Barbuda’s Benna Girls hoisted the championship trophy in the Women’s Football Festival in Turks and Caicos on Sunday night, scoring 25 goals in three matches.
The Benna Girls hammered host 9-0 in the competition’s final.
Gabrielle De Suza scored her 9th goal in three matches and walked away with the Golde Boot award, Nafisa Quashie, Nicelle Drew and Keitonya Skepple celebrated a brace each, while Kevoncia James and Zoya Simon had a goal each.
Amaya Hodge collected the Golden Glove award, while Kai Jacobs was voted the MVP of the tournament.
The Benna Girls trounced Turks and Caicos 10-3 in their opening match and then defeated Renegades of the Bahamas 6-1.
