BLUE ECONOMY MINISTER RECOMMITS TO SUSTAINABLE OCEAN STEWARDSHIP

Hon. Anthony Smith Jr., Minister of Agriculture, Lands, Fisheries and the Blue Economy, is representing Antigua & Barbuda at the Great Oceans Dialogue 2025 in Mumbai, India. He is advocating for the potency of the blue economy to transform lives and livelihoods. Minister Smith Jr. (pictured second from the right) has already held constructive bilateral engagements with senior representatives from Suriname, The Bahamas, and Fiji, exploring new frameworks for South-South cooperation, knowledge exchange, and ocean-climate partnerships. He is quoted as saying, “The Blue Economy is not just an environmental agenda—it is our economic future, our security, and our identity.”
