Cabinet Approves 168 Warri Boards for Education System
One hundred and sixty-eight (168) Warri boards are set to be distributed to schools under the National Intangible Cultural Heritage Initiative.
Cabinet approved the decision to commission the boards and integrate the West African game into the formal education system.
The Ministry of Education, Sports and Creative Industries will oversee the implementation and distribution process, ensuring that students nationwide benefit culturally and academically – reinforcing critical thinking, and numeracy skills.
Warri began more than 3000 years ago and is one of the cultural traditions such as pottery which was brought to the island centuries ago.
