CABINET WARNS BARBUDA COUNCIL OVER ACTIONS AT LOUIE HILL

Cabinet has issued a warning to the Barbuda Council.

The executive branch of government says continued resistance by elements within the council to development projects will not be permitted.

The warning comes amidst a fresh dispute over the clearing of land for the Louie Hill development, where 200 homes, a mall, and other infrastructure are planned.

The cabinet blames the Council for efforts on Wednesday to literally block the development, by placing two trucks in the path of equipment doing land clearing.
