Calendar Of 2026 Public Holidays
The office of the Labour Commissioner has released a full list of the 12 public holidays in Antigua & Barbuda this year.
The release Tuesday notes a correction to the date originally published for the National Day of Prayer. That day is now firmly set as September 10, 2026.
The Labour Commissioner, Eltonia David, has also advised although Independence Day is November 1 each year, this year it will be commemorated on November 2 – this is because November 1 will fall on a Sunday.
This year’s independence celebrations will also coincide with the Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting (CHOGM26) hosted by Antigua & Barbuda.
Should general elections be called this year, the Public Holidays (Amendment) Act of 2019 dictates the day following will also be declared a public holiday.
