CALL FOR CLIMATE EMERGENCY TO BE DECLARED AMIDST HEAT AND OTHER IMPACTS

Director of the Department of Environment, Ambassador Diann Black Layne, is urging the Government to declare a climate emergency.

The call comes as Antiguans and Barbudans increasingly feel the impacts of climate change, including the searing heat.

She believes this unprecedented move is essential to build the nation’s climate resilience.
