CALL FOR REGIONAL RESPONSE TO PERILS OF FAKE NEWS, DISINFORMATION

Barbados’ Prime Minister, Mia Amor Mottley, is calling for a regional fact-checking mechanism to combat the growing threat of fake news.

She broached the subject at the opening session of the Caribbean Broadcasting Union’s Annual General Assembly in Barbados on Tuesday.
