CARICOM LEADERS TRUMPET SUPPORT FOR ANTIGUA AND BARBUDA AGENDA FOR SIDS AT UNGA

Caricom leaders have thrown their support behind the Antigua and Barbuda Agenda for SIDS, ABAS, during their recent presentations at the United Nations General Assembly in New York.

The ABAS was the outcome document from the fourth conference on Small Island Developing States (SIDS4), hosted by Antigua and Barbuda in May.

It charts the course for the 39 SIDS around the world to achieve resilient prosperity over the next decade.

Barbados’ Prime Minister, Mia Mottley and St Vincent and the Grenadines Prime Minister, Dr Ralph Gonsalves were among those who joined Prime Minister Hon. Gaston Browne in calling for global support for the 10-year framework.
