Chairman of the Antigua and Barbuda Transport Board, Dean Jonas, is calling for a collaborative approach in handling several existing issues at that entity.
In recent times, the institution has been plagued with industrial situations, where employees have voiced dissatisfaction about their working conditions.
A 15 per cent salary increase and calls for a proper medical plan, Jonas says are among the workers’ main concerns.
He adds that the institution requires strong leadership to adequately deal with the ongoing issues.
Jonas says the transport board collected 7 million dollars last year but lost 3 million, which he describes as a significant loss.
